“Love, Nathalie” Eating up Montreal’s Competition like Cotton Candy

When Love, Nathalie first added me on Instagram I was intrigued.  Her clothing was beautiful but I mean haven’t we all fallen for that gimmick? You know the one where you buy the Perfect dress and receive it weeks later in a totally different color and eight sizes too small?

But Love, Nathalie was based in Montreal, hmm could she really be so different?

I went on the official web site only to be hit first with that beautiful Tiffany blue color in her logo; I mean what girl doesn’t love Tiffany’s right? I went to see her online clothing store and that was when I truly understood the name Love, Nathalie. Love for this online clothing store meant Loving Yourself no matter your size and Nathalie demonstrated this by using a curvy model for her clothes, using a real woman. I had to write to her immediately to compliment her on two things; her beautiful choice in clothing, and her beautiful choice in model. She wrote me back minutes later thanking me for the compliment on her choice of apparel and also for the personal compliment because you see Nathalie is her own model.

I had to meet her.

A few weeks later I met Nathalie at a café because I knew that she was something different. It honestly moved me that she is her own model not only because of the message it sends to young women about loving their bodies but it also acts as a way for Nathalie to make sure the clothing she is selling is up to par with her very high standards. Of course having lived my own horrible experiences with online shopping, I was curious to see what her clothes looked like, and if they were the same as those in the pictures.

Nathalie’s screening process is very rigorous when choosing her clothing. She wants it to fit well and be affordable. She wants the quality to stupendous as well as keep her originality. As you can imagine she isn’t just going to sit behind her computer screen and click the order button, she travels in order to find the best clothing for her customers. The clothing she purchases is made in fantastic areas such as the United States and Australia. The jewelry line she holds is made in Turkey and her sunglasses are from Italy. The items you purchase from Love, Nathalie are truly as well traveled as she is.

Incase she wasn’t darling enough Nathalie has this beautiful charisma to her. She is confident and vibrant; she is caring and yet wise. These traits are reflected in every piece she displays, from simple pieces to the perfect dress for wedding season. In every shade and body hugging form, Nathalie has an outfit for every type of woman and affair!

I truly had an amazing time meeting Nathalie and was taken back at the kind of woman and young entrepreneur she is. She seemed excited to share with me her next big event, which is taking place May 31st. An event she named Skipping Breakfast at Tiffany’s, being held at a magnificent art gallery in Montreal. With a fashion show, manicurists, makeup artists, cup cakes and more at your disposal, who wouldn’t want to attend?

In my last moments with Nathalie I felt the deep urgency to congratulate her on her boldness and her success in such a short period of time. I told her that I would be her new favorite customer and more so I wanted to thank her in doing her part in changing the stereotype of curvier women. And then I asked her; “ besides a designer, if the label inside each piece of clothing could say one thing what would it be?” To this she responded so beautifully poised; “Love, always with love”.
